 lution of Navier-Stokes equations began in early 1990. This relatively new
  field has now come a long way. n. We present two examples: Reducing UAV W
 ing Noise: We use a high-order LES code to explore the possibility of usin
 g Synthetic Jet Actuators to reduce Noise. The other example is Rocket Lif
 t-off Noise:  To enable studying noise generated by realistic geometries\
 , we adopt a Hybrid RANS-LES approach using low-order scheme on non-unifor
 m grid to predict the noise produced by impinging jets representing vertic
 al take-off of aircrafts or Rockets Lifts-off.
