SUMMARY:Consensus-Based Cooperative Guidance Laws for Simultaneous Target I
 nterception
DESCRIPTION:Lecturer:Benjamin Zadka\n Faculty:Department of Aerospace Engin
 eering\n Institute:Technion – Israel Institute of Technology\n Location:
 Classroom 165\, ground floor\, Library\, Aerospace Eng.\n Zoom: \n Abstrac
t: \n Details: \n Guiding a team of pursuers to simultaneously intercept a
target (Salvo-attack) is crucial when dealing with modern target defenses
. The main objective of the current research is to develop cooperative gui
dance geometrical rules to achieve simultaneous interception of a stationa
ry target by a team of heterogeneous pursuers\, modelled with non-linear u
nicycle kinematics.\nWe will begin the talk with an introduction and an ov
erview of existing impact time guidance laws. This will be followed by the
presentation of the proposed cooperative geometrical rules that lead to s
imultaneous interception. The interception can occur either in the minimum
possible time or in any larger desired impact time. For the minimum possi
ble impact time geometrical rule\, the communication topology between the
pursuers follows a cyclic pursuit framework. For the desired impact time g
eometrical rules\, the communication topology follows a leader-follower fr
amework\, where the leader imposes the desired impact time independent of
the other pursuers in the system\, and the followers modify their impact t
imes according to that of the leader.\nFinally\, guidance laws to enforce
the proposed geometrical rules will be introduced\, while also taking into
account heading errors. Simulation results will be presented during the t
alk to exemplify the theoretical results.
