SUMMARY:Cooperative Strategies in Multi-Agent Target-Missile-Defender Engag
 ement
DESCRIPTION:Lecturer:Vitaly Shalumov\n Faculty:Technion Autonomous Systems
 Program (TASP)\n Institute:Technion – Israel Institute of Technology\n L
 ocation:Classroom 165\, ground floor\, Library\, Aerospace Eng.\n Zoom: \n
Abstract: \n Details: \n During the course of this research\, a cooperati
ve interception scenario between multiple maneuvering targets\, missiles d
efending said targets (’defenders’)\, and missiles attacking said targ
ets (’missiles’) was investigated.\nThe talk will begin with the intro
duction of several computationally efficient Weapon-Target-Allocation (WTA
) algorithms\, developed under the assumption that the target of each miss
ile is known\, as well as the guidance law used by each missile and defend
er\, and that the number of defenders is equal to that of the missiles. Th
e algorithms calculate offline the coefficients contributing to the miss d
istance\, using the adjoint representation\, and use those calculations on
line.\nA method of tackling a scenario\, where the target is free to decid
e at which time to launch the defenders\, will be presented as well. Once
WTA is performed\, the multi-agent scenario is decomposed into several one
s where in each a specified group of missiles is chasing a specific target
\, protected by the assigned defenders.\nThe development of a cooperative
target evasion guidance law for said sub-scenario will be presented as wel
l.\nA presentation of the simulative evaluation of the cooperative guidanc
e law performance\, coupled with the WTA algorithms\, using the notion of
Pareto front\, will conclude the talk.
