  \n Details: \n In recent years\, active flow control (AFC) has become a n
 ew branch in fluid mechanics. The long term goal of the current research i
 s to predict and understand the change in incompressible flow field over a
  separated wing due to the addition of a two-dimensional (2D) instability 
 wave.\nIn the present work the nonlinear interaction between the mean flow
  and a 2D coherent disturbance in a 2D turbulent wake is investigated.  F
 or this purpose a theoretical model is examined. The proposed model is bas
 ed on the triple decomposition method: it is assumed that the flow field c
 onsists of a quasiparallel mean flow\, coherent sinusoidal perturbation an
 d incoherent turbulent fluctuation which are taken into account using a co
 nstant eddy viscosity model.\nDifferent normalizations of the linear solut
 ion are examined. In addition\, the effects of Reynolds number\, frequency
  and amplitude of the forced wave on the evolution of the flow field are i
 nvestigated.
