SUMMARY:R&D Demonstrations of Advanced UAS Concepts - Present Snapshot and
 Future Roadmap
DESCRIPTION:Lecturer:Dr. LTC Ariel Dvorjetski\n Faculty:Head of Concepts an
 d Unmanned Systems Branch\n Institute:Mafat\n Location:Classroom 165\, gro
 und floor\, Library\, Aerospace Eng.\n Zoom: \n Abstract: \n Details: \n I
n recent years\, there has been a tremendous growth in the unmanned aerial
system market\, for various operational requirements and scenarios.\nMore
over\, in nowadays the demands are also derived in from the civil market\,
which brings new requirements which were not familiar to the classical mi
litary industries.\nAs rapid requirements evolve\, with new “customers
” and new “players”\, the methodology for UAS R&amp\;D adapts itself
to the new market demands.\nThe talk would provide a slight insight to cu
rrent R&amp\;D efforts in the UAS world\, focused in Advanced Propulsion s
ystems\, new Aero-Mechanical conceptual designs\,\nand future tactical and
multi-rotor UAS Integrated solutions.\nThe discussion would suggest acade
mia and industry a distinctive approach for promoting R&amp\;D activities.
\nSuch realm could help creating supporting mechanisms for future joint co
llaboration of Academia-Industry-Government programs in the Civil and Mili
 tary UAS developments.
