Recognizing ammonia&#8217;s potential as a carbon-free fuel, our work addresses critical challenges in ignition and combustion, aiming to improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions. By leveraging nanosecond-pulsed high-frequency discharge (NPHFD) plasmas, our studies reveal significant enhancements in ignition success rates and flame development times. This research provides a foundation for the broader adoption of ammonia as a viable green energy solution, facilitating a transition to zero-carbon fuels and supporting global climate goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Our measurements combine advanced diagnostic tools like infrared thermography and laser-induced fluorescence to create a comprehensive database for modeling and simulation. This work not only advances the fundamental understanding of ammonia combustion but also guides the development of efficient, practical ignition systems for internal combustion engines and gas turbines.
