A Chinese Delegation of Entrepreneurs Visited the Wind Tunnel Complex
A delegation of 32 entrepreneurs arrived on June 9th, 2015 to the Technion for a one day visit. The visit was organized by the CEO innovation Club of Overseas Education College Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and lead by Mr. Luo Fei, who is the Chairman of Green PINE Capital Partners.
The group was hosted at the Technion by the Knowledge Center for Innovation team, and visited several faculties and laboratories, including our “Wind Tunnel Complex.” The visit to the “Wind Tunnel Complex” was led by Michael Karp and Igal Gluzman, Ph.D. students in the faculty. The visit began in the subsonic tunnel, where Igal explained his research on the subject of flow control. The group also visited the transonic wind tunnel and learned about measurement of aerodynamic forces on aircraft models.
Shanghai Jiao Tong University was founded in 1896, and it is one of the oldest and most famous institutions of higher education in China.
Israel is recognized as the innovation nation in the world, and the innovative technologies combined with Chinese big market will create win-win business for both Israeli and Chinese companies, and therefore it is a good opportunity for the CEOs of the delegation to discuss with potential partners in Israel and find a good way to cooperate (investment in Israeli funds/companies, or bringing Israeli technologies to Chinese market).
