Gershon Kats received the 2016 Prize in Memory of the late Professor Yaakov Timnat for his PhD research work on the topic of “Investigation of flame ignition in fuel spray systems,” conducted under the supervision of Professor Barry Greenberg.
The prize enabled Gershon to attend the ILASS-Europe 2016, 27th Annual Conference on Liquid Atomization and Spray Systems in Brighton, UK, in August, where he presented a paper entitled “Spray ignition by a heated slab”, based on his research.
