On Nov. 21, 2019, a symposium on the subject of “Advances in Chemical Propulsion” in honor of Prof. Alon Gany’s 75th birthday took place at the Faculty.
The Symposium was a tribute to Prof. Alon Gany, who is considered the most significant figure in propulsion in the academia in Israel and one of the most valued rocket scientists in the world. It dealt with various issues of Chemical Propulsion.
170 scientists and engineers from Israel and abroad participated in the symposium. The invited speakers, coming from US, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Russia, China, Japan, Ukraine and Israel, presented their work on various topics, such as Hybrid Rockets, Solid Rockets, Gel propellants, Hypergolic Ignition, Space Propulsion, and more. Dr. Uzi Rubin’s lecture on the history from “Star Wars” to “Iron Dome” attracted many participants.
The symposium was a great success in the eyes of all.
