The Aerospace Engineering Department welcomes Dr. Maxim Freydin, who joins us as a faculty member.
Dr. Freydin’s research interests focus on the interaction between fluids and structures at high-speed flows where thermal effects become important. He specializes in the stability and dynamics of elastic plates in supersonic flows and the effects of boundary conditions on the linear and nonlinear parts of the structural model. Dr. Freydin will continue his theoretical and computational work and conduct experimental studies at the Technion wind tunnel facilities.
