The UVID Conference for Unmanned Vehicles organized by Israel Defense took place on Wednesday, September 17th, with Minister Dr. Yuval Steinitz as the keynote speaker. The students of Grade I, the first year participants of the international AUVSI, presented the GREY OWL System (of the AUVSI competition) in their own booth, and won an academic award.
Then Mr. Dror Artzi, the project leader, presented the system and the achievements of students from the two Faculties that took part in the project, Aerospace Engineering and Computer Science. Dror concluded his short presentation with the following slide:
The students of the next grade of AUVSI also took part in the conference, listened to lectures, saw the other systems and their presenters, gathered material about products and components, made connections and learned the field.
