The annual Aerospace Engineering Department awards and excellent students’ ceremony span 13 prestigious awards, 82 certificates honoring excellent students who are included on the dean’s or president’s lists, and six distinguished research-day awards. All were presented to deserving recipients.

The event celebrated academic excellence and achievement, a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students who have excelled in their studies and research endeavors. Their commitment to excellence is truly inspiring.

The awards handed out this year include:

  • Prize in Memory of Professor Arnan Seginer
  • Prize in Memory of Moshe and Sarah Rubin and Zeev and Naomi von Weisl
  • Prize in Memory of Ilan Sternberg
  • Prize in Memory of Dr. Arie Hillel
  • Prize in memory of Niv-Ya Durban
  • Prize in Memory of Jacob Glezer

Prof. Daniella Raveh, Dean of the Faculty, congratulated the award recipients and emphasized their pivotal role in the future of the aerospace industry. Prof. Raveh said: “Aerospace engineering is known to be complex and demanding. We accept only talented people and you are at the cutting edge of excellence. You are the future of scientific and technological leadership, as well as our hope for scientific progress and the maintenance of the supremacy of the Israeli aeronautics industry. ”

Between the awarding of the awards and the certificates of merit, the audience enjoyed a musical piece prepared by Maayan Shimoni and her father. Maayan not only sang at the event but also won the late Prof. Arnan Seginer’s award for excellence in research and also received an excellence certificate from the Technion’s president!
