- Research Projects and ME
The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering offers two research pathways for outstanding students:
Master of Engineering (ME): A program designed to deepen knowledge in a selected field without including research.
Research Projects for Outstanding Students: Part of the Faculty’s excellence programs, these projects provide students with hands-on research experience, from problem definition to data collection, result analysis, and report writing. Students acquire research skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity.
We invite industries to collaborate with us on research topics relevant to their agendas. These topics can be adopted by outstanding students, with a company representative participating in the professional guidance of the student, alongside an academic advisor.
Benefits for Industry:
- Targeted research solutions within a limited scope and timeframe.
- In-depth acquaintance with a potential candidate for employment.
- Contribution to the overall effort of preparing students for integration into the industry.

- Special Programs
The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering offers several unique programs for students with exceptional academic achievements, demonstrating potential to become outstanding leaders in aerospace engineering and research. The aim of these programs is to shape the future generation of aerospace engineers and researchers by promoting excellence and commitment to advanced studies, through a direct path to a Master’s degree with support for continuation to a Ph.D.
We express our gratitude to the three major and significant industries in Israel: Israel Aerospace Industries, Elbit Systems, and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, for their important support in maintaining this prestigious and meaningful track, and encourage other industries to participate in this important activity.
- Student Projects – Ungraduated
The Faculty of Aerospace Engineering at the Technion invites industry companies to submit proposals for projects within the “Design Project” course, intended for students in their final year (Semesters 7-8, Year 4 and above) in the fields of aeronautical and astronautical engineering. These multidisciplinary aerospace system projects aim to enable students to integrate the knowledge acquired during their studies, applying it through design, analysis, manufacturing, construction, testing, and experimentation.
For students, this presents an opportunity to engage with technological innovations, development processes, tools, and methodologies characteristic of the industry, fostering updated and creative thinking for practical technological challenges. For the industry, it offers a chance to meet, familiarize with, and influence the next generation of engineers. Student projects serve as a unique platform to expand and strengthen the connection between the faculty and the industry. A call for proposals is published annually. The deadline for submitting proposals is February 27, 2025.
