Due to breakthrough advances in miniaturization, the scale of spacecraft components can now be reduced to the millimeter scale. Termed as "smart dust", the concept of spacecraft on a chip promises...
Combustion processes can be greatly improved using reactive species created in non-equilibrium plasma for the initiation of fuel oxidation and pyrolysis. One such process is volumetric ignition, inherent to homogeneous...
Abstract: Understanding of the mechanical behavior of soft composites is essential for many research fields and applications such as ultrasound diagnostics, vibration mitigation, adhesives, packaging materials, and biological tissues. The...
The long-standing competition between advancing projectiles penetration power, on one hand, and increasing the efficiency of protective structures, on the other hand, has resulted in a very large body of...
A deregulated electricity supply market, based on the implementation of renewable energy power plants, vastly promotes the emerging “distributed power generation” concept. Therefore, numerous small and efficient power units are...
This seminar addresses the design, error assessment and analysis of a low cost, adaptive, laser range finder based, terrain following system for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Such a system enables...
Commercial fluorescent tracer particles used for particle image velocimetry are available in a very limited range of sizes and densities, and are prohibitively expensive for large-scale experiments. Therefore, a method...
