Prof. Pini Gurfil’s lecture will be on the topic:
The Distributed Space Systems Lab – “המעבדה למערכות חלל מבוזרות“
The Distributed Space Systems lab performs research in astrodynamics, guidance, navigation and control of multiple-satellite systems, with emphasis on cluster flight of nanosatellites. In this talk, we will present some of these research areas. In particular, we will show some research highlights in the areas of relative satellite motion, space robotics, vision-aided space navigation, and the SAMSON project, which is a triple nanosatellite mission that will be launched in 2017.
Asst. Prof. Beni Cukurel’s lecture will be on the topic:
The Turbomachinery and Heat Transfer Lab – “המעבדה לטורבו-מכונות ומעבר חום”
The Turbomachinery and Heat Transfer Laboratory conducts research and development in the field of micro gas turbines for propulsion and power generation applications. The Turbomachinery Center is intended to serve as a center of knowledge for the academia, as well as the industry. In parallel, the laboratory leads experimental heat transfer research, and conducts advanced measurement technique development. The discussed research activities will include versatile micro turbo-fan engine, optimization of smart-grid equipped with micro-gas turbines, advanced micro-turbine research facility, acoustically enhanced heat exchangers, thermophone sound production, multispectral infrared thermography and novel hot-wire anemometry methods.
