Associate Professor Vitaly Shaferman. His research interests are in the area of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) of autonomous aerial and space vehicles. Specific interests include:
- Autonomous spacecraft entry, decent, and landing
- Autonomous spacecraft docking
- Optimal spacecraft evasion from debris
- Cooperative and one-on-one missile guidance, evasion, and tracking
- Optimal control and differential games
- Adaptive control
