A major motivation for research in combustion science and technology is to reduce emissions from power plants, large scale industrial furnaces, automobiles, aircrafts, etc. Development of low emission gas turbines...
In recent years, flight vehicles are becoming progressively more elastic and as a result, aeroelastic phenomena are becoming more prominent. A gusty environment or a high-load maneuver can result in...
The purpose of the study is to develop optimal spatial guidance-laws under terminal angular constraint in atmospheric flight, which enable the pursuer to reach its target under various optimization objectives...
High flow speeds and significant compressibility levels can be found in a wide range of single- and multi-phase reacting flows. These include various propulsion and energy conversion systems, such as...
Aeroelastic responses, such as accelerations measured in flight, are non-stationary signals in which the frequency content varies with flight speed and, therefore, in time. Aeroelastic responses might also be nonlinear...
Solid propellant rocket motors are simple, easy for handling, and ready for immediate operation. That is why they are the preferred rocket motors in multiple applications and missions. However, in...
A brief overview of the Ohio State College of Engineering (COE) will be presented, with the emphasis on the strategic research pillars and the research strengths and priorities. The focus...
With increasing use of electric-powered aircraft, there is a need for accurate mission planning tools. Electric aircraft differ from conventional ones in a few aspects, most notably in the efficiency...
Subject: Futuristic Aircraft Designs and a look at how big companies develop them. Benefit: Fun and educational, aimed at the airplane enthusiast crowd. No equations or calculations, just lots of...
Many industrial and scientific applications require accurate measurement of radiation flux emitted by target surfaces. One of its most important applications is thermal infrared imaging for non-contact measurement and monitoring...
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) is one of the major requirements in aerospace structural design. Appropriate use of NDT guarantees safety in aerospace and is thus a subject of highest attention. In this...
