Omer Wexler | Air-breathing hypersonic vehicles (AHVs) have the potential to revolutionize space access and high-speed global transportation. These vehicles can cruise at Mach 5 and above, making them highly attractive for many time-critical applications. Furthermore, by using atmospheric oxygen, they eliminate the need to carry oxidizers. Consequently, AHVs offer increased payload capacities, reusability, and reduced construction and operational costs.

Yishai Glam | The aeroelastic stability and dynamic response of thin panels are important considerations in aerospace structures design. Traditional nonlinear Rayleigh-Ritz (RR) analysis struggles when applied to panels with nonuniform boundary conditions (BCs) or local constraints. Generating the necessary global basis functions is difficult, often leading to slow convergence and requiring many modes.

The main goals in aircraft design nowadays are noise and emission reduction, together with performance improvement.  These can be achieved straightforwardly with lightweight, large-span configurations. However, light aircraft are inherently...
This talk outlines an effort to understand the impact of inlet isolator physics on the combustion of scramjet engines under actual flight relevant high speed conditions. The objective of the...
In a general research setting, theoretical models combined with simulation provide the backbone for guidance, navigation, and control systems design. While these are both powerful tools to represent physical systems,...
Fuel supply in microjet engines typically makes use of fuel vaporizers. These have a simple design however, their operation involves complicated physics including the disintegration of liquid jet under co-flowing...
In recent years, the use of multi-rotors has been drastically increased both in military and civil applications. Specifically, load transportation using a flock of rotary unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) has...
Classification and object recognition is a fundamental problem in many robotics and aerospace applications, such as autonomous driving, vision-based navigation, and search & rescue. The field has advanced much in...
Capacitively coupled radio-frequency thrusters (CCRFT) are an attractive propulsion option for nanosatellites due to their low operating power, relatively high thrust, and low erosion of the electrodes. Such thrusters can...
