Seminars
October 05 2026
Yishai Glam | The aeroelastic stability and dynamic response of thin panels are important considerations in aerospace structures design. Traditional nonlinear Rayleigh-Ritz (RR) analysis struggles when applied to panels with nonuniform boundary conditions (BCs) or local constraints. Generating the necessary global basis functions is difficult, often leading to slow convergence and requiring many modes.
October 21 2026
Royi Shabtay | The velocity field inside spherical-cap rising bubbles was measured quantitatively by ray-traced, planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) and shadowgraphy and then used to calculate scalar transport properties for bubbles of different Reynolds numbers.

Recent years have seen rapid growth in the small-unmanned air vehicles (UAV) industry. This increase in drone usage causes many disruptions in our everyday lives, particularly noise. Increased noise regulations...
The performance of pulsar-based navigation for deep space exploration is investigated by considering the deep space DAWN mission. The flight trajectory of the DAWN spacecraft is used in the numerical...
Following a configuration change of F110 engines in the IAF, fire balls had been seen during start-up in several engines. In the new configuration several components are replaced, including fuel...
Military aircraft typically carry under-wing stores such as bombs or external fuel tanks. During a mission, one or more stores may be ejected with the aid of a jettison force that...
This research focuses on a particular case of distributed space systems technology: spacecraft rendezvous missions. More specifically, the case of a two-phase satellite rendezvous maneuver is examined for rigid bodies...
